I spent a few hours with Tanya Sullivan last week. Her sister, and her niece, were killed by their husband and step-father.
Ms. Sullivan spoke today at South Carolina’s Statehouse to mark the start of domestic violence awareness month. South Carolina ranks only second nationally for domestic violence deaths, trailing only Nevada with a rate more than twice the national average.
We followed up with Tanya about a year after their deaths. It was touching learning about her experience and visiting the mausoleum where both women are buried. Read their stories here.
